Detail of "Purple Passion" Quilt. 		"Purple Passion" was made using the above photo as inspiration. The photo was taken in a family members garden following my most recent open heart surgery. Working on this small quilt during my recovery was very uplifting. The purple flowers symbolize the strength and courage to move forward and achieve healing and growth, both physically and spiritually. Major surgery is difficult. If you are experiencing major life changes, find some comfort in the world around us. Relax, refresh and appreciate the beauty of our land.- K. Nicholson
