Quilts for Charity
Katherine Ferris Nicholson, Owner of The Quilted Valley, worked with Common Threads Quilt Guild of Vestal New York, on a service project to make childrens quilts to go to Mayan children near Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Using a generous cash donation from The Rodgers Family Foundation of Waitsfield Vermont, to purchase fabric, batting and supplies, Common Threads Quilt Guild made 110 quilts. They were hand delivered to Mexico by Vee Lynch, Owner of Cabin Fever Quilts in Waitsfield, Vermont. Enjoy these pictures below taken in Mexico in September 2003.
