"Flower Joy" was one of my first art quilts. It was started in a workshop called "Winter Garden" with Jeannie King, a local quilt teacher. She gave us patterns for many different shapes, and said "Do with them as you please". Sticking to my love of landscapes. I created this vibrant almost abstract feeling garden. Mind you, on the day of the workshop it was -20 degrees outside, and this bright floral landscape gave me so much joy that I had to name it "Flower Joy". This piece remains in my possession and adorns the wall of my studio. I smile whenever I look at it.
